Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women after skin cancer and, of cancers, is the second most common cause of death among women after lung cancer.  In 2007, breast cancer was diagnosed in about 178,000 women in the United States.  About one fifth of them will actuall die from it.

Research has shown that several factors may increase the risk of developing breast cancer, including family history, age, genetics, and obesity.  By making healthy lifestyle choices and exercising regularly, individuals can help reduce the risk of developing breast cancer.  Mammograms, regular self-exams, and clinical breast exams are also vital because they can help doctors diagnose cancer before it has a chance to spread.  When breast cancer is detected early, treatment is more effective, giving hope to patients and helping to save lives.

October is NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH, we remember those living with breast cancer and their family and friends who provide them with love and support.  Onlinemedsupport encourages you to visit the NBCAM website regularly for updates, information and resources. Support Breast Cancer Awarness and show those living with breast cancer how much you care about their courage and determination to fight this disease.  They are an inspiration to us all.

Welcome to Onlinemedsupport.com

We are excited and proud to welcome you back to the new and definitely improved dynamic community of onlinemedsupport, a medical information site and discussion forum for pain sufferers.

Despite the renewal of attention to pain management topics in recent years, the undertreatment of pain -- in men and women -- has escalated into a significant problem in our culture.

There is so much injustice and ignorance surrounding the healthcare community about pain and it's treatments.  There are so many misunderstandings and myths that all to often people who could get relief ~ DON'T.  Their pain management ends up poorly done.

Empowering patients by helping them become actively involved in the design of their treatment plan, exploring both traditional and complimentary approaches to their pain management.  We believe that early intervention of pain conditions can change the direction of a person's life.

The criminalization of doctors and patients must stop and that is why we have chosen to redevelop our website.  We are here mainly to work with those in pain and the doctors who are being destroyed by the government's hardball tactics.  It is time to put the medical needs of the vulnerable ahead of the political aspirations of the powerful.

We want to thank you for visiting our site.  Onlinemedsupport will cover a wide range of topics from providing you with the most up- to- date list regarding the working OCS's and their pharmacies to a network of medical support both mentally and physically.

Our main goal at onlinemedsupport is to educate the public and to bring about more awareness concerning the myths and misconceptions that people who are in pain should have labels put on them of worthlessness.  People who suffer from chronic pain need to have better healthcare and their physicians should not live in fear of treating those who need it.  It is our intention to bring about a change one person at a time.  We hope that more of you will join us in our campaign.
